RootsMagic Users will meet to discuss anything you might be ha having trouble with when using the software. This could be as simple as adding new people to your database or adding two sets of parents to a child (bio & adopted for example). During the June 2026 gathering we'll discuss how to best use RootsMagic to plan and organize your research. As usual, we'll address any problems you might be having while using the software. We'll also touch on where to find information about using the software during our summer break. After this one the next meeting will be in September.

Sharpening your genealogy skills is the process of moving beyond simple name-gathering to become a more methodical and accurate family historian.

It involves transitioning from "climbing the tree" to verifying the roots through advanced research techniques and critical analysis.

We will be focusing on the FamilySearch website and their new research tools"

RootsMagic users will meet on Monday, Jan 19, 2026 at 3:00 pm on Zoom. I will send the link out by Saturday. If you are interested in using RootsMagic software to organize your family history research discoveries send me an email (wilsonjb@gmail.com) and I'll get you the information.

In May 2026 we'll make sure you are ready to record all of your summer genealogical adventures efficiently. If you are having issues with adding a certain thing to your database be ready to ask. This might include adding that census document to each person in the family with ease. It might involve adding that newly found ancestor to the right parents. This is common when a parent has been married to more than one spouse. Your needs are the only limit to this.
