Genealogy 101: Mastering Digital Filing for Genealogists

                  Presented by Cyndi Ingle

Every genealogist feels that digital filing is out of their control. It can be an overwhelming process to keep track of all of the documents, images, and files that end up on our computers and devices. How do we even start to tackle this virtual pile of filing? What tools and processes will work best for you? We will discuss all of this and how to maintain digital filing as we research.

Genealogy 201 - The Modern Genealogist

              Presented by: D. Josh Taylor

Genealogy today looks very different than it did even a decade ago. This introductory session explores the tools, resources, and approaches that define modern family history research, from online databases to digital images and emerging technologies. We will discuss how to get the most out of what is available while avoiding common pitfalls. Ideal for those looking to build a strong foundation for research in today’s environment.

He will also present:

Genealogy 301 - Sound Conclusions in a Search Everywhere Era

With unprecedented access to records and powerful search tools, finding information has never been easier—but interpreting it correctly remains as challenging as ever. This session focuses on how to build sound, well-supported conclusions in an age of abundance, where conflicting evidence and incomplete data are common. Through practical examples, we will explore strategies for correlation, analysis, and resolving discrepancies. Emphasis is placed on maintaining the Genealogical Proof Standard while adapting to today’s “search everything” environment.
