“Seven Immigration Methodologies” presented by David Ouimette

Immigrant ancestors tend to elude us more than those who stay in one place from birth until death. Immigrants appearing in a new land may leave their origins hidden. Genealogists draw upon several research tools and techniques to gather, analyze, or correlate data effectively to trace immigrant origins. Sound methodologies guide research, are based on genealogy standards, and emerge from basic principles. In this presentation, we demonstrate seven methodologies for tracing immigrants to their places of origin.
